Friday Workday

On Friday, the dried overspray from the black ceiling paint was swept up, and the floor was cleaned up and prepared for next steps.  As you can see from below, CBCers from the young to the young at heart were involved.

Blackout Painting

The process of painting the ceiling black began on Tuesday and by the time these photos were taken on Wednesday morning approximately 50 gallons of paint had been sprayed on the ceiling, beams and anything else that was overhead. You can see from the floor that this is a special type of paint that dries as it falls and can be swept clean. I know that I am one person who is very glad we did not attempt to do this part of the job on our own.

The Work is Beginning!

After the paperwork, the designing and drawing up of plans, and the submissions for approval, we are thrilled to be beginning the work of the buildout. As you can see below, Ron Holbrook (our general contractor and the head honcho of this project) is driving the tractor and Jason Burdette (a professional framer and carpenter, among probably a litany of other construction skills and talents) is riding high, beginning the first preparatory steps in our buildout.  Don Graham is on the floor in the second picture, keeping everyone else in line.

More updates to follow as we continue to make progress.
