October 24-30

This was an exciting week for the people of Community Baptist Church. The week began with our final service at the location that has been our home for 8 1/2 years. It was a special time and the final message preached was from Psalm 44:1-8 entitled, "To God Be the Glory!" Truly God did some great and mighty things in us and through us in that location and we have many wonderful memories to share of His working. The final items were packed and the storage trailers were moved to the new building.
Work continued on the Ball Ground building this week as the fire sprinkler company began its work, more framing was done and other projects were continued and started. What a joy it has been to see God's people banding together to work and do what needs to be done to accomplish the goal of preparing our new home.

October 17-23

Work continues with the 2nd floor being framed and the final packing of our items at our location that has been our home for the past 8 1/2 years. This Sunday, October 24, will be our final day of services at the building that God has used in many wonderful ways. Our memories of that place will always be precious but there is great excitement as we look forward to a new facility. In the interim God has opened the door for Community Baptist to meet on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 - 3:00 at Canton Community Church. Praise the Lord for the graciousness of the pastor and people of this neighboring ministry!

October 10-16

The week began with the passing of our first inspection and continued as the office flooring was finished and the move-in process for the offices began. God has given us an amazing tool to reach souls for His glory!

2nd floor progress and plumbing work begins!

The framing crew has been hard at work for three days and has completed a tremendous amount of work. As you can see a majority of the first floor framing is in place and the decking for the 2nd floor is now in place. Also the plumbing contractor has begun his work. Please continue to pray with us as we seek the remaining funding that is necessary to complete the project and for safety of the workers. Our project coordinator, Ron Holbrook, has been working tirelessly and has been assisted by many volunteers.

Framing begins

The framing crew hit the ground running this morning and have been hard at work all day. Most of the rooms are framed along with a portion of the auditorium. This afternoon they began to move the floor trusses into place and begin the work of setting them up to prepare for the second floor.
